It looks good device with plenty of features and security item. i buy it to play around with them and see how efficient it is.
I'm not sure if it's good; the internal settings are just average and cheap features.
The useful feature is the VPN section, and it's better to upload plugins directly.
The downside is that it generates a lot of heat, not just the basic 70 degrees, but even a 2.0Mhz CPU makes it go above 75 degrees after some use. The fan noise is quiet, but I wonder what it would be like if it was used with the fan always on. It seems like a larger cooling fan would be necessary.

Received the router after 46 days of placing the order. after getting ali express support to intervene. very very poor service from the store. parcel was sitting at the sorting centre (as shown in update, true or false, i wonder) for more then 35 days. store didn’t have any interest in moving the parcel, kept giving reasons of geopolitical situation. only after ali express intervention, things started moving. whereas i received many more parcels from ali express, ordered after 17th april (order date for this router). so i honestly don’t believe that it’s got to do anything with geopolitical situation. router seems good. will try it out and can give further review. so if you order items from this store, be aware that you won’t receive it for atleast 45 days !!! or maybe never receive it !!!!
It has a huge and super fan, everything works perfectly, you can even buy it from the European website for the same price.
Great device with great software and hardware. nothing to add. best of the best in class. definitely recommend.
I had no related knowledge, but I completed the VPN setup just by looking at the instructions and the product login page.
Great small travel router. The color isn’t my favorite, but it’s a nice change from the usual black or white modems. The wi-fi is pretty strong, and for now i’ve only tested it at home before my trip next month.
I also tested the vpn speeds, and they’re better than i expected especially on the client side.
Ps : it's global version not chinese so i was happy about this :)
Open wrt 21 based firmware cannot update the tail now. The fan is too small hot detect. Wan port can't be detected sometimes. I don't test with models and tearing mode. Feel like overpriced.
All good. thank you!
Packing is amazing the device is a piece of art
I recommend buying this if you have fiber optic wifi cuz of how stable the latency/ping is with sqm but keep in might you have to make the fiber optic router bridge mode or use dmz method
If you're going to do something strange with a router, there really doesn't seem to be anything else like it.
Good
Quick test done and it looks really good!
In the end, I'm going to use this on vacation to improve the Wi-Fi in the holiday house. The outcome of this is not yet known.
The device was also shipped very quickly. I had ordered well in advance, but it turned out to be unnecessary.
One of my favorite brands. excellent technical support. very quick and efficient in responding. special thanks to bernard lo.
I purchased this to use free WiFi via Tailscale while traveling. The connection speed is also no problem.
The supplier delivered very quickly. Unfortunately, Hermes failed in the last mile and extended the delivery time by 3 days. That was NOT the fault of the manufacturer or Aliexpress.
The device is top-notch and very easy to set up.
Perfect. i'd already been wanting to get the beryl 7 for openvpn. it works great. easy to set up.
Poor hardware with only 500 mb flash memory. this is only simple travel router. do not expect anything more than a travel router based on the product description or advertisement. if you try to use this product as gateway or home router, function will be stopped frequently due to high temperature, poor memory volume and throttling. i recommend purchasing this for use only when traveling. thank you
Very good product.
Good product. the only complaint is that it was shipped in a way so i have to pay customs fee (around 13 usd). i was not informed about this in advance it it happened first time for all my orders from aliexpress to kuwait (a few hundred purchases already).
Received
The device operates efficiently for its intended purpose. 👍
The seller cheated on the customs declaration form - they provided the price usd 55 but i paid usd 118.
The customs office held the package because they said it was forbidden to import routers without special permit.
This seller is not trustworthy regarding handling shipping and documents.
Do you think they are trustworthy with their software/hardware? Make the assessment on your own.
I have waited for ca. 2 months for my money since i filed request for the refund.
Very good for a travel router
It's a good product. It's easy to carry and supports VPN clients and Tailscale.
Good product
Router came exactly as described. set up wireguard vpn to connect home, so now i'm set. took some troubleshooting to figure out what needed to be done for allowing rdp to home computer over vpn connection (advanced settings, firewall allow port 3389 from vpn tunnel inerface to lan, and restrict rdp to accept connections only from vpn tunnel ips). now to take it on the road for real
This is a revolutionary in router with vpn. Super easy to set up and very impressed with the build quality and the application.
